We're excited to announce an unforgettable HATCH adventure! Experience Cuba through meaningful cultural encounters. The guided trip will be full of interactions
with local artists, entrepreneurs, farmers and historians. You'll gain insight into
the country's culture, art, religion and agriculture through the eyes of the people
who live it every day. 

No cultural immersion would be complete without food... you can count on delicious, traditional meals followed by music and dancing every night. 

Guide Mike Polarny is a HATCHER who has serenaded several HATCH events
with sounds from a variety of cultures. Mike has been living part-time in Havana
for the last 6 years, and with his connections to the local art scene is the perfect
tour guide for this unique adventure.




Our schedule is fluid, but has been carefully curated to feature activities that foster a deeper connection to Cuba’s people and culture:

・walking tours with local entrepreneurs and activists
・sessions with non-governmental organizations and youths
・visits to art & social projects
・visits to private art galleries and non-governmental stores
・home visits to artists and activists
・introduction into “Santeria” religion, meeting a “babalawo”
・trip to the country-side featuring private agriculture projects
・Hatch moderated talks with historians, social experts, artists, entrepreneurs

A detailed day-to-day itinerary will be provided during the tour.


We will interact with local musicians and Cuban friends while enjoying a full palette of musical genres. Each night will include a culinary experience at private restaurants around Havana.

MIKE POLARNY & Sound Traveler

Mike has a strong connection to Cuba and has been living there part-time for 6 years. During his time in Havana, he has published several songs with local musicians, performed dozens of DJ gigs and produced various artistic projects.

Over 100 travelers have experienced Cuba with Mike as their guide. He is a travel expert with 20 years' experience in tourism, traveled himself to 55 countries on 6 continents. Originally from Poland, he nowadays enjoys a nomadic style of life, spending most of his time around the Caribbean & Latin America.

As an Active HATCHer, Mike has participated in and provided music for HATCH Panama & HATCH Mexico. He continues to be involved in facilitating conscious dance communities, plant ceremonies, and “burning man” style events.

His song "Trip To Cuba" won the Dubspot New York & Ninja Tune Records contest.

Initiated into Afro-Cuban religion, Oggun is his guardian angel!

80% refund for cancellation more than 90 days before the first day of the trip
50% refund for cancellation more than 30 days before the first day of the trip
25% refund for cancellation less than 31 days before the first day of the trip
